Today was the first day of the camp. We flew in, then pretty much dropped our stuff at the hotel and went to the pool (after waiting for certain people, of course).
Practice was allegedly "easy," according to El Jefe, so I'm scared for the rest of the camp. Mostly freestyle on fairly easy intervals, but there was also some sprint free that was a bit challenging. The pool was really nice and incredibly clear, but the locker rooms were a bit sketchy.
We had dinner at a Mexican place which was "better than Chipotle, in my opinion," according to Zach Litwin, who went on to say "That place was really good."
Now I'm off to a (mandatory) team meeting, then we'll probably hit up Dunkin' Doughnuts and the gas station.
I thought I heard something about having to run at 6:30 tomorrow. That will be... interesting.
Finally, Neil would like me to give a positive shout out to himself and FGCU. He's great, seeing as he bought us dinner (I think it's part of the camp, but he did anyway). Also, FGCU has a great campus and a really nice pool.
ER out
