Everyone got burned today.
ER out
Ok, now here's the real post:
Although everyone did use sunscreen, everyone managed to get burned in some way, shape, or form:
Kathryn-Face burn, major goggle marks
Kate-Burned on her right side
Erin-Burned on her left side
Adam-Burned during the ACT (don't ask)
Elise-Minor back burn
Heather-Cap burn, back splotches
Maddy-Left side of neck and upper shoulder is burned (Jeff is pretty sure that someone (Heather) didn't rub the sunscreen in).
Zach-Minor neck burn, doesn't hurt... "yet"
Emma-White forehead, red face.
Will-Goggle tan, face burn, back splotches
Jack-Back burned
E. Flack-Mid back
Greeno-Back, lower back/butt tan
Victor-A spot in the middle of his back (it oddly resembles the shape of France...)
Erik-Back, neck, some shoulders, some cap tan
Matt-Added freckles, back burn, beet red face
Brian-Incredibly tan, avoided sunburn without the use of sunscreen... Except on the bottoms of his feet (we're not quite sure how that happend...)
Jeff-Second degree burns on his arms from trying to show off his guns.
Kim-Just burned in general
Other than that, we had a great day. Dinner was at some Famous Dave's type place, which I'm told is called Shane's Rib Shack or something. Some of us hung out at the mall, though some of us went to see movies.
Everyone completed the IM set (not quite with flying colors, but withing Jeff's standards). Neil's practice was not that bad, and we got to hit the d-boards at the end.
Jeff's turn (be very, very afraid):
Morning run went well because everyone made it on time! No one has over slept as of yet....hmmm??? who will be the first room to "not wake up?"
Humidity was awesome; I think we all lost 5 lbs in the first run... lots of water around here.
Everyone kicked butt on the IM (12 x 200's descending set) followed by the 8 x 50's sprint set off the blocks at the end of practice. Victor and Zach had the fastest reported times in the set and everyone else did their goal times.... I was very happy!
We had two visitors today that most of the boys liked a lot! Two blonde European girls that swam with us and were very nice.
I look forward to the upcoming days!! So far so good and we are having fun. Wish the rest of the senior group could be here as well. You are all missed!
It's me again!
Ok, tomorrow, I'll probably be talking about all the music we've been listening to, as well as attempting to get some pictures of us up. I'll also continue covering the training and food. Finally, tomorrow I'll be getting a few more people (namely Jeff and Kim) set up as admins on the blog, so that they will be able to post as well. I'll be sure to update periodically throughout the day.
Oh, Jack and Will have promised me posts over the next few days, but don't count on anything being produced.
